My experience at IESE Business School proved to be very enriching and rewarding. This came as no surprise to me as I am the second generation of my family to attend.

"During IESE, growth came in the form of exposure to 500+ case studies. Case studies provide a great opportunity to learn about business problems and general criteria to structure them and find solutions.
After IESE, growth came from (i) relating real life business problems to previous case studies and (ii) extrapolating such general criteria to conceptualize issues and seek solutions."
What opinion do you have about the case method as a teaching methodology?
Case method is a sharp way to learn by doing, as it creates a good framework to discuss in class and thereafter conceptualize business problems and solutions.

I wanted to make a change. Before joining IESE I was working in a biotech start up. I wanted to move to the Pharmaceutical Industry and worked abroad. All that happened and on top of that I got the skills and knowledge to work needed, met amazing people who are now good friends and grew personally

Excellent! It is very practical a good preparation for the real world. The discussions with the team before the class are key. You should think about what you knew new during the class discussion and walk away with the main learnings

My experience at IESE was more valuable than expected. It was enriched by the quality of the discussions at class, led by the excellent professors.

How would you define the growth you experienced during and after IESE?
The growth I experienced during IESE is well recognized when comparing my level of confidence before and after the program. Today I feel much more prepared to tackle any kind of problem. If I don't know the solution, at least I know where to start and who to contact.
What opinion do you have about the case method as a teaching methodology?
The case method is an intense and tough teaching methodology, but it is the only way to provide to the students all that big load of experience in such a small period of time. At the same time, working on real cases is much more interesting than just reading the theory.

Why did you decide to study at IESE Business School?
My decision to start the IESE EMBA was driven by multiple factors simultaneously. On the one hand I wanted to join a first-class academic program with well-known professors and a high international reputation. On the other hand, a key decision driver for me were the profiles and the attitude of the fellow students of whom you could get a first impression at the various IESE open days. The combination of an excellent learning experience together with outstanding and interesting people made my decision to join IESE easy.
How would you value your experience at IESE Business School?
I could actually write about many values at this point but would like to focus on the personally most important one for me. One of the greatest experiences at IESE are the diverse, highly-motivated and smart people around. Being in a fast moving environment with interesting people allows you to learn faster, opens your eyes on your personal career opportunities and allows yourself to grow even faster.
What three qualities would you use to describe the IESE Business School?
Academical excellence, challenge yourself, building friendships for life
How would you define the growth you experienced during and after IESE?
As I am still about to finish my IESE EMBA in early 2019 I cannot yet give a full answer to this point. Nevertheless, simply observing the general improvement within the entire class dynamic, the way I personally started addressing work issues with a broader picture in mind and the great community created during the program, gave me a good impression of what is yet to come.
What opinion do you have about the case method as a teaching methodology?
Having already experienced both traditional teaching and the case method before IESE. The case method was clearly another factor motivating me to join the IESE program. Having to directly apply concepts to real life cases does not only help one to understand the concepts in more depth and remember them easier it further prepares you way better to situations similar in your working environment outside of the university.
